Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County is excited to announce the selection and addition of Lander Bachert to our team as CEO.
Lander grew up in Boone, North Carolina. She earned her undergraduate degree in Education, English and Social Studies from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and then immediately set out for Montana after graduation to begin her career in education. She taught 6-12th grade English, Social Studies and Psychology in the Gallatin Valley, while earning her Master’s Degree in Education from Montana State University. Hoping to influence the educational system further than the walls of her individual classroom, Lander became the Director of K-12 Programs with America Campaign to educate and inspire other educators and policy makers to use technology to benefit students in Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota.
As she transitions to her new role as CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County, she is excited to continue bettering the lives of our local youth and to build even stronger partnerships with youth-serving organizations and community leaders so that Big Brothers Big Sisters can ensure significant and long term outcomes for the children and families of the areas we serve.
“If you are looking for a more hopeful future, the most tangible force of optimism you can engage in is investing in the life of a child, or in this case, the children of Gallatin and Madison Counties. If we make their lives bigger, their (and our) world has a chance to grow.” – Lander Bachert.
Lander’s first day in the office is October 15, 2018. We invite you to visit or call our office to welcome Lander.Back to Staff & Board
